These Are the First Pictures of Tonga’s Newest Island

The new, yet-to-be-named island, which began forming in January, lies about 40 miles southwest of the nation’s main island, Tongatapu.

The trio stopped off at one of the islands 3, obviously remote, sandy beaches.
Approximately 800 feet high, half a mile wide and three-quarters of a mile long, the island could hold promise for tourism, but let’s hope it stays just the way it is.
