Zach Norris of Phoenix, Arizona was sifting his way through a local Goodwill when he came upon a rare and (almost) priceless timepiece listed for just $5.99, and only he knew what it was worth.
Norris, a watch aficionado, was afraid to let the clerk scan his discovery for fear that the value of the band-less, battered 1959 Jaeger-LeCoultre dive watch (of which there were less than 1,000 made) would be recognized upon closer look.
After listing the watch and receiving several offers, Norris settled for $35,000 and a $4,000 Mega Speed Master watch.
He took the funding as a gift from on high, and decided to put it toward his upcoming wedding.
