Manarola is the second of the five hamlets found in Cinque Terre, a collection of tiny fishing villages dotting the cliffs along the Ligurian Coast in Italy. It is thought to be the oldest of the towns, with one of the churches dating back to 1338. The two main industries in the town are fishing and winemaking, with the local variety of grapes heralded during the Roman Empire to make one of the finest wines. Sounds like a perfect combination, and a vacation spot to me! – CS
