This Is How an Artificial Reef Can Become Your Living Memorial

Have a sea funeral, build a reef. It sure sounds better than having the worms pick your brains.
If 1% of everyone who decides on cremation chooses to have an artificial reef installed in their name, 8,000 new reefs could be created annually.
Eternal Reefs began the Reef Ball Project in 1990, and since, they have cast and deposited over 400,000 cement artificial reef memorials on the seafloor. The reefs include a bronze casting, and they’ll also record GPS coordinates so your loved ones can dive to visit you. Eternal Reefs also funds coral reef conservation projects.
