Spend a Summer on Rabbit Island, An Artsy Retreat on Lake Superior, For Free

The DeVos Art Museum in Marquette, Michigan is looking for artists, musicians and other creative types willing to spend a summer on Rabbit Island (AKA Traverse Island), a tiny island just over a mile offshore of the northern tip of Michigan, and they’re footing the bill.
Apply now, because the application deadline for the 2015 season ends this Friday, August 22nd.
The museum is taking a total of 3 applicants (6 Just submit a proposal illustrating why you’d like to travel to, live and work on Rabbit Island and amongst the wildlife and waters surrounding it. You’ll get a “generous honoraria” to cover expenses, access to the island’s tools, library and other resources, and an exhibition and publication with the DeVos Art Museum, too. Here’s how to apply.
