Anchovies Are Swarming California Beaches and Puzzling Scientists

Marine experts are saying that this year’s migration of anchovies along the beaches in San Diego are larger than anything they’ve seen in the past three decades, and they have no clue why.

This footage was taken on July 8th from Scripps Pier by Scripps staff and graduate students Julia Fiedler, Sean Crosby and Bonnie Ludka.
If only we were in California with a cast net and a few bottles of dry white wine.
