Squid Boats Align on the East China Sea, Taiwan

by Owen James Burke

While the sleepy little hillside village of Jioufen sips their oolong tea, gazing at the diminishing sunlight over the east China sea, a fleet of squid fishermen awake and position for a night’s work. They line up in rows together, perhaps to draw more light and, therefore, more squid.

Me, I’m with the tea crowd — for now.

Beware, this stuff will run the price of a glass of good scotch.
