Drawn in sand for but today

That is a cool picture. I love Santa Cruz. I admire the patience Denevan has with drawing his art and then having it be washed away.

This is Amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing a convergence of art, humanity, and the sea.
Whoa that is so cool…..
Its beautiful! It kind of reminds me of the “alien” art done in corn fields. Love it!
Wow! That is something … thanks for sharing.
That’s just too cool. Who would have thought of doing this. Other than an artist. It does point out the transient nature of true art, though.
Incredible nice!

Their impermanence makes them more attractive in a nice way! It’s like you’ve wallpapered the beach! Brilliant!

Amazing!
Wow that’s beautiful. And probably a bit frustrating too, considering he must run around like crazy working just so the ocean washes it away…beautiful and worthwhile though.

Wow. Very poetic, intriguing blog post title. And the image is impressive. There is a philosophical feel to your statement…
Awesome pic! How did he do all of this though?
Beautiful! Unreal! Love it!
Thats cool… I wish someone did something like that on the beaches around here!

This is so pretty. Sand illusion? So pretty.
That is a really cool picture. How did he get the edges so smooth and straight?
oh my! it must look nicer when it is seen from above
Nice photo!
Would you look at that? Now that’s really something. I’ve seen them make Jesus sandcastles at the beach before, but never anything like this.

Wow…this a very cool idea. In the thumbnail of this photo the designs liked like 10x smaller than they actually are, the people really put it in perspective.
Ohh wow! beautiful!!
I just had a look at some of his other work. That is some seriously cool art he makes, even if it only lasts for a day!
How do you manage this sand-patterning? This is crazy and beautiful.
gorgeous… great stuff!
Crop circles, anyone? xD

Just beautiful. I checked out the artist’s website (JimDenevan.com) and there’s more amazing stuff there as well. It is a shame it only lasts the day, but at least there are photographs. Oh, what I wouldn’t give to make a living off playing in the sand…

What a beautiful idea, reminds me of the Tibetan sand paintings which take days to make and then are swept aside in a few moments … to show the transience of all things …
Nice post…

Ok, not “hit” so much as it gets stuck in my wife’s head often.
